Stop Trying to Maintain Familiarity
Disillusionment is said to be the disappointment that follows when one discovers something or someone to be less good than they believed. People may feel sad, regretful or depressed when faced with disillusionment.

Now let’s look at the other side of the story — What happens if they discover something to be better then they had thought?
Of course they’ll be elated. So you may think, but more often than not people want to stick to their familiar expectations of a thing. This is why disillusionment takes too long for others — they choose to be right about their perceptions than become enlightened about the reality.
Being informed is better being right.
And for those who are truly excited about something being better than they thought, the excitement only lasts for a short while. Give them some more time and they’ll find something to complain about.
