Write to Gather your Thoughts, Write to Explain your Thoughts

Two Solid Steps to follow When Writing

I wrote a poem some weeks back.

At the time I wrote it, it was a concept I wasn’t too sure of.

I put in an abstract form because I wasn’t so clear on it.

I wasn’t yet sold out on what it was, I didn’t know if it could work in my life.

Regardless, I knew I had to write or I won’t feel fulfilled.

Fast forward to a few days ago and I hear another a talented speaker clearly break down exactly what my poem was about.

Sometimes we have thoughts that are new to our environment, our background and culture.

We struggle to find the words to make this new thought easily accepted by those around us.

Saying or writing them is akin to a taboo.

The people around you may begin to think that,

“oops, this one is going astray”

They think that simply because it is a concept that hasn’t been proven to them.

Again let me remind you of this bible verse

“Write the vision And make it plain on tablets, That he may run who reads it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time”

This popular verse, was referring to a prophecy.

In this context, I urge you to apply it to your writing as well

First Step: Write down the vision

Second step: Make it plain

“Think like genius, write like a third grader”

Finally, focus on step 1 and 2 again because 3. your write up will help someone in the future, perhaps your current environment limits you, but in the future it could be the catapult or the inspiration for someone in a more permissive environment.

Thanks for reading.

Cheers ^^
