The Fulanis are predominantly herdsmen, migrant herdsmen in West Africa.

They are always migrating from place to place with their cattle in search of lush pastures.

Because they are new to a place, they would always ask questions, the most mundane and seemingly. obvious questions.

So in my local environs whenever someone asks a question with an obvious answer, they are said to be asking a Fulani question.

There are no Fulani questions. There are no questions with obvious answers.

Just because it’s obvious to others doesn’t mean you ought to know it.

My Tiv people will say, “the one who asks does not get lost.”

Why are we Scared of Asking Questions?

We may be scared of asking questions due to a few reasons.

It could be that we don’t want to be seen as ignorant, it could be that the person whom we should ask is not approachable and so we fear been scolded and the biggest reason could just be pride.

However, in failing to ask we are the ones on the losing side.

The Bible says, “in the multitude of counselors, there is safety.”

Learn to ask.

Be humble

Why We should Ask

If you don’t ask, you won’t know.If you don’t know, you will fumble.

Also realize that what you don’t know today, if you ask you would know by tomorrow. If you don’t ask you may never know it.

Why be crippled by fear for a moment only to endure misdirection or failure for a longer period?

It is absolutely not worth it.

Ask because nobody knows everything. You also have knowledge that others know nothing about.

Don’t just stop at asking, remember to verify the information that you have.

Knowledge is power, even if it means appearing stupid in order to get it, Go for it!
