I first saw this quote in a Chinese xianxia genre novel and many years later, I couldn’t agree more.
You literally cannot beat the shame less. They are indestructible.
Once you feel that this set of people can’t go any lower, they really break through the boundaries and let you see dimensions of shameless ness you never knew could exist.
They have a unique ability to thoroughly blow your mind,
As sneaky as an owl.
You really can’t do anything to them.
You can’t talk reason.
You can’t bring in the law.
You can’t mention the word morality or conscience in the same breadth or room with these sort of humans.
When I say Shameless in this write up, I mean those who have no moral limits, they have no integrity whatsoever and do not aspire to have any and they boast in this.
The only way to beat a shameless person is to become a pig and roll in the mud and beat them at their own games (by throwing mud bombs at them)
Understand when people say they have the dirt one someone — you can throw dirt on them unless you get dirty.
The only way they will bow and worship in defeat is if you can be more shameless than they are.
And honestly it’s never worth it.
Playing this game can only take you 360 degrees from who you really are.
That’s why Politicians never get better, someone gets in there thinking they can do it, but it all really depends on who is more shameless. Just an example.
Just don’t play!
A wiser way to handle a shameless person is to be prepared. That’s why I said Naivety is not a Virtue.
Trust no one. Make no excuses for anyone.
Be gentle and harmless, but you must know exactly what kind of wolves and serpents you are dealing with.
