Learn to Think for Yourself.
Some Christians in Nigeria are happy with Donald Trump’s win because he’s quoted a few Bible verses before.

It’s not the first time it has happened, even here in Nigeria whenever they want to confuse the people, they pay some gospel artiste to perform in their campaigns or some imams or pastors to speak on their behalf.
Once a leader associates with a religion or a tribe, many people who are too lazy to think for themselves will follow them.
When we were young, we were told to avoid crowds, anything could go wrong, there could be a stampede, you could get robbed or even kidnapped all together.
Yet now as adults that advice has flown away.
People will jump unto any bandwagon that screams conservative or screams the religion they think suits them or whom they think suits their tribal interests.
One man of God whom God had used to speak to a King also fell for this rubbish.
In his case, it cost him his life. God had given him instructions on what to do and he was doing well. But then, this prophet came to him with another direction. He said to him, “I am also like you, a prophet of God”, to cement it all, he claimed an angel of God had appeared to him.
So this man of God turned around and followed this prophet. And he died for it. A lion killed him.
Gruesome isn’t it.
Gruesome but true.
I’ve always felt that this story was so sad and unfair. One person lied, another person died.
Many people are dying today still, becoming corporate slaves, getting into debt because they prefer to belong to a group.
They have to be called a member of something, to feel important.
Once I see someone start to carry a certain pastor, tribe or a certain church on top of their head that’s my cue to dissociate.
Are you following so so pastor or are you following Jesus?
You see the problem is humans beings are fallible, they are prone to errors, instead of being misled whether on purpose or not, it is better to go directly to the source.
can you just learn to think for yourself!
Just take a step back and consider if you really want to belong.
I’ve said this before, I’ll say it again, Jesus was not a nationalist Or He would have fought for the restoration of Israel at the time He walked the earth.
One time, they told him his brothers were looking for him, he said, “my brother is he who does the will of God” He was clear about His vision and was not there to play nepotistic games.
When it comes to politics, it’s not about choosing a lesser evil, there is no lesser evil, evil is evil.
If the default is not working, change it.
Don’t try to beat them, quit while you are ahead.
Don’t belong.
Tough choice I know.
You know why Jesus died?
Of course it was God’s will, but from a societal viewpoint, He didn’t belong.
He didn’t make any affiliations, He didn’t have a ‘pharisee godfather’.
So they chose a thief and a murderer who wouldn’t hamper their interests.
Just like they continue to do today.
You can be a fraud, a terrorist, a drug dealer, but if you choose to affiliate with these so called powers that be, they will vote you in, because you represent their interests.
It’s not the interest of the majority.
It’s the interests of the elite few.
Foolishly those who look up to these elites will follow them too.
For anyone who voted for this current government the last election? Is there a special filling station selling fuel at a special price for you? I don’t think so. Have you managed to evade the inflation in the country?
If you want to leave a legacy you need to learn to think for yourself
This will involve asking questions.
When they brought the adulterous woman to Jesus he asked: which one of you is innocent?
Learn to test and reprove things: remember that Satan used the scriptures to tempt Jesus. Jesus used the scriptures to reprove him.
Do not be quick to follow anyone who throws scriptures at you.
“Test all things”, “Trust no one”, “Not one is good”, “Beware of false prophets….by their fruits you shall know them”
These are the words of your Jesus.
Don’t be so quick to choose a side.
Here’s a truth:
Actually, The Government Can’t meet your Needs
This is the ugly truth!
The government will not give you free fuel.
They won’t pay your bills.
They won’t give you free food.
Instead, they’ll tax you for your work, they’ll tax you for water which is free.
They’ll tax you for the roads which they have used your resources to build.
The Government itself is too lazy to think of ways to sustain itself, so they’ll tax you.
You know what King’s Solomon’s son said to the people of Israel after they came to him begging him to relieve their taxes?
He said, “my little finger is thicker than my father’s waist” this is the order of worldly governments, each is worse than the last.
Stop wasting time and Start building on your Life’s work.
You can’t dominate if you don’t start now.
Elon Musk can play with the politics or economics of a nation because he believed he could build something phenomenal and he did.
A South African, from a ‘broken’ home. This last sentence for those of you who cite your background as the reason why you can’t be great. ‘My country is not working’, ‘my parents didn’t give me any resources’, ‘my spouse is not willing to help’.
You sluggard! Learn wisdom from the ants. Nobody is coming to save you.
Stop sleeping behind religion or tribe or excuses.
Get working on the vision God has given you!
