So now I have a question. There was a time philosophers and scientists believed the world was flat, and that was generally accepted back then but it wasn’t the truth and it wasn’t scientific. So something might be general knowledge and accepted but it may not be scientific?

Now we know better of course. But did I pass my point across? I feel that general knowledge may or may not be scientific.
