One Bad Poem does not Make a Poet

Do not let one failed endeavor to determine the rest of your Life!

Once, a poet had been maligned, his very first poem had been a masterpiece.

He was very young and new to the scene.

It was too good to be true.

The literary society soon believed the rumor that he had in fact stolen another writer’s work that was yet to be published.

He did not deny the rumors, he did not pay attention to them.

Instead, he went ahead to create several more master pieces, poems much better and grander than the first, silencing his critics in the process.

One bad poem does not make a poet.

One bad book does not make an author.

One bad dish does not define a chef.

One bad movie does not make an actor.

One bad race does not make the athlete.

A bad parent does not define a child.

A bad marriage does not make a woman.

A failed business venture does not define an entrepreneur.

A failed academic session or university course does not define you.

All I’m saying is, do not let the sadness of one failed endeavor determine the course of your life.

A marriage does not sum up your life.

You are a mesh of stained glass pieces, being arranged together to create the most exquisite and unique piece of work that ever existed.

Every single one of us!

Own your successes and your failures.

Pick up the pieces, cry when you feel like but remember to smile and laugh as well.

The wins are always more than the failures.

The failures only weigh us down because we let them. What you dwell on, will consume you. What you feed with your time and thoughts, will grow.

Shake it off and move on!

You are the judge of your own matter.

Once you overturn the verdict it will stand.

If you think it matters, it will matter.

If you shake it off, it won’t matter.

Your life, your court room!
