My not so plain Jane
I know a superwoman, a Jane
Her heart, as broad as the heavens
Soul, as bright as the pearly gates
Able to drag back the light from the blackest nighttide
Propelling the show, behind the shadows
The thunder that silences the noise of the storm
A pink carnation sprouting in the Savannah
Adding some color to our daily grind
An alpha tigress when the wolves come to prey
Appearing mundane yet so valiant
Such power, such lustre
Strenght so salient
So humane Oh mother
Cruising through
chores in perpetuum
seeming so trivial
Menial they say
Same works that make
the ordinary possible
Scarcely able to get a break
yet to all of us available
I never saw it before
How did you make it seem so easy?
Now I catch glimpses, albeit previews
I thank Jehovah papa
I get to walk half a mile in your shoes
The road a bit smoother cause you paved it
My steps much lighter cause you cushioned them
Bouquets and accolades will never suffice
You deserve so much more Mother
For now, enjoy my heartfelt words for you
My Superwoman
My not so plain Jane
