Dear Parents, Help Yourselves to Help Your Children
In life, there are somethings that you must come face to face with. You can avoid it for a few months or a few years but you can’t escape it, your bloodline can’t escape it.
In the story of Israel’s Exodus from Egypt, the Bible records this, “Then it came to pass, when Pharaoh had let the people go, that God did not lead them by way of the land of the Philistines, although that was near; for God said, “Lest perhaps the people change their minds when they see war, and return to Egypt.” Exodus 13: 17
When you think about a full life what comes to mind? What kind of vision do you have for your life? Personally, when I think of a full life one word comes to mind, Freedom. The freedom to do the things I desire and to be who I was made to be.
So, in this story we see these people who have been slaves for over 400 years finally get a chance at freedom.
The fastest route to that land flowing with milk and honey involves a battle but because they are ill equipped and unprepared for battle, they take the longer route — over 40 gruesome years.
