Another thing I do is to read poems, here on medium or other literary sites. Read poems from famous authors and unknown authors. Read song lyrics, I read my Bible as well. You can find some really nice poetic verses in novels as well. I read everything with an eye for admiration, since I started doing that, I’ve gotten more ideas than before. As a poet or writer, you can’t afford to stop learning.
