Member-only story
1. Your name, circumstances of birth and present circumstances contribute to who you are. You cannot throw away these parts of you. People will try to remind you of your roots, they asked of Jesus, ‘is this not the carpenter’s son?’ This was their way to maintain familiarity over the figure he was becoming.
Embrace your past, accept your present but understand that while it contributes to, it does not determine who you can become nor how far you can go in life.
2. It is the information you have and act upon that determines who you can become and how far you can go in life. So get knowledge, get wisdom and get understanding. It is with these three things that you can make informed decisions about your future. It is these three things that can allow you to transform to a better person.
3. You only need validation from your maker.
You see any Tesla vehicle you see on the road has been approved and test run by the company before it came out. They do not need the validation of Toyota nor Ford.
What I’m saying human yardsticks will always fall short because no human has full insight into a person’s journey in life. Don’t base your identity on what another human says.
If you must please anyone in life, aim to please God. Jehovah has the final say.
